About the Learning Support Assistant RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant, you will work as agency staff across a specialist SEN school supporting pupils with a range of needs, including:

Autism (ASC)

ADHD
-
SEMH
-
Challenging behaviour
-
Learning difficulties
-
PMLD
Your work as a Learning Support Assistant may include:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis

Assisting with small group interventions
-
Supporting the class teacher during whole-class learning
-
Helping pupils regulate emotions, behaviour, and sensory needs
This is a supply / agency Learning Support Assistant role, meaning work may be offered on an ad-hoc, short-term, or long-term basis. While work cannot be guaranteed, many Learning Support Assistants secure regular placements and long-term opportunities.

Following a successful interview and completion of safeguarding and identity checks, we will work to place you into a paid Learning Support Assistant role within a school setting to build hands-on experience.
About the School EnvironmentBefore starting your placement, you will complete a comprehensive training programme delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders. This ensures every Learning Support Assistant is well-prepared, confident, and supported from day one.

Requirements – Learning Support AssistantTo be considered for this Learning Support Assistant role, you will need to:

Be committed to improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs

Be willing to complete training and ongoing CPD

Be prepared to obtain an Enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service
Experience in education or care is desirable but not essential.

Pay & BenefitsPay: £13.68 - £15.00 per hour (PAYE)
Pay rates may vary depending on experience, training, or qualifications.
