Assistant Production Manager Required - 6 month contract
Our client is a global, market leader in the design, development and manufacturing of drinks dispensing products.
On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an Assistant Production Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Production Manager in delivering efficient production operations. Assisting with coordinating manufacturing activities, ensuring compliance with health & safety standards, maintaining production schedules, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a 6 month contract, working hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm and Friday 8am-1pm based on their site in Chorley.
Package:
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays (pro-rata)
- Up to 40,000 (pro-rata)

Assistant Production Manager (6 Month Contract) - Responsibilities:
- Assist the Production Manager in preparing risk assessments and attending health & safety meetings.
- Support production departments to ensure items are planned, produced, and delivered to meet customer demands.
- Help ensure production is efficient and meets agreed quality standards.
- Liaise with production teams to organize workflow and resolve issues promptly.
- Supervise, monitor, and evaluate the performance of production personnel.
- Determine and allocate resources required to meet production targets.
- Enforce health and safety regulations across production areas.
- Plan and monitor site maintenance activities.
- Assist in monitoring production performance and implementing improvements.

Assistant Production Manager (6 Month Contract) - Requirements:
- Proven experience supporting or managing production teams in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting principles
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software systems
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational abilities with strong attention to detail
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
