An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team here at The Castle Café located beside Highcliffe Castle

Set in the middle of seven miles of golden sands, Highcliffe is an iconic landmark with views of the Isle of Wight in the east to Studland and the isle of Purbeck in the west

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chef looking to make the next step into a venue with huge opportunities. The Castle Pantry is situated on the iconic Highcliffe Castle grounds and open 7 days a week.

The Pantry is an established busy Traditional British Tea Room that serves breakfast, varied lunch menu, afternoon teas, cream tea, selection of cakes, sandwiches to have in or take out.

Operations runs 7 days a week, predominantly from 8:00 a.m. until 18:00 p.m. latest with some evening functions.

You will

  • Work very closely with the management team .
  • Maintain and develop high standards of food service, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Control stock levels, stock rotation and order suppliers as needed.
  • Be able to adapt to the fluctuations on demand and staff accordingly to the business seasonal requirements.
  • Train and develop the kitchen team to company standards.
  • Understand how food profit percentages work and how portion and wastage control affect them.
  • Plan and develop menus in collaboration with the restaurant management team.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu offering.
