Are you an experienced Tutor with a passion for supporting learners with diverse and complex needs? We're looking for compassionate and skilled individuals to deliver personalised tuition to young people across a wide age range-from Primary through to Post-16.
About the Role: We work with learners who benefit from bespoke, one-to-one sessions tailored to their individual educational and emotional needs. Our students may have a range of challenges including:
- Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Autism (ASD), ADHD, PDA
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Global Learning Delay
- Trauma and medical needs
Tutors must be confident in planning and delivering English and Maths sessions that are engaging, accessible, and adapted to each learner's unique profile.
As a Tutor, you will:
- Provide high-quality, tailored tuition in English and Maths.
- Support learners with a wide range of needs and abilities.
- Plan and deliver bespoke sessions that meet individual learning goals.
- Be flexible in your approach and responsive to each learner's circumstances.
- Maintain professional standards and safeguarding practices.

- You have experience working with learners who have SEN and additional needs.
- You're confident in planning and delivering individualised English and Maths sessions.
- You're adaptable and able to tailor your approach to suit a wide range of learning styles and challenges.
- You're reliable, professional, and committed to safeguarding and supporting young people.
- You communicate clearly and effectively with learners, families, and professionals.
- You're passionate about helping young people achieve their potential through personalised support.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
- Experience of working with learners with SEN
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
