As Head Chef, you will report into the Operations Manager of an evolving and ambitious venture looking to grow throughout the Cotswolds, neighbouring counties and London. We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and enthusiasticHead Chef, with exceptionally high standards and a true passion for great food and people, to join our fantastic pub! Leading from front running of the kitchen operations, delivering a consistent high food quality. You will work alongside the General Manager in the organising, growing and day-to-day operations of your kitchen. Having a real say in the food of which you serve whether that be on the next menu or daily specials boards. Only using the best suppliers in a well equipped kitchen all alongside a real work life balance! Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work closely with them in the implementation of the menu, contributing dishes and working on the maintenance of its standard and delivery
Maintaining and forging excellent relationships with suppliers and producers
Supervise stock control and procedures
Overall daily responsibility for the daily kitchen operations, including training of your team
Foster a culture of camaraderie and respect between all team members
Ensure that the kitchen complies with all health and safety, food safety and hygiene standards
Responsible for ensuring all kitchen equipment is maintained and used in a safe and correct manner
Deliver a consistent level of service in a clean and professional environment
Qualifications and Key Attributes:
Working proficiency in English is essential
Previous experience in a Sous Chef role or higher
Positive, can-do mentality
Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Certificates (minimum level 2)
