Electrical Maintenance Technician – Day Shift

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our clients growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly contribute to the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our client’s company.

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, your role will include:

  • Performing routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems and equipment
  • Responding promptly to plant breakdowns to minimize downtime
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults effectively
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing 3-phase motors, PLCs, VFDs, and other systems
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes
  • Documenting maintenance and repair activities accurately
  • Collaborating with other departments to support overall operations
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability
  • Taking part in the call-out rota as required

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with a strong technical background and a proactive approach. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 18th or 17th Edition certification
  • Proficiency in diagnosing PLC/HMI systems and understanding ladder logic
  • Experience with commissioning and troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives
  • Strong control and automation skills, including modifying and implementing control systems
  • Solid understanding of 3-phase and single-phase systems
  • Proven experience in factory automation and maintenance
  • Excellent diagnostic skills in LV circuits, motors, and lighting systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics
