Holdens & Co is a family-owned and run artisan ice cream and café, and deli business who have been making award-winning dairy ice cream since 1929.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Chef to take ownership of the food development for our Café and food to go offer at Holdens & Co. You will be responsible for creating, costing, and implementing the café and Food to go offer at our Whalley and Abbey Village sites.

You will be required to support the busy kitchen operations in our Whalley Café, and establish Whalley Café as a foodie destination.

Key responsibilities

Development of seasonal and core menu and food to go range

Ensuring you deliver the best quality food to every customer

Ensuring the right structure and skills in the kitchen

Managing stock, food safety standards, product quality, and training and developing the kitchen team.

What Youll Have

Experience in leading a busy kitchen environment, motivating a small team

Experience of menu costing, creating menu specifications

Passion for Food and creating exciting and innovative dishes

Appetite for problem solving, forward planning, and working at pace

Knowledge of food safety management in a busy kitchen environment

Exceptional standards of attention to detail
