Assured Safety Recruitment is working with a respected UK manufacturing group to recruit a Health, Safety, and Environment Manager for their large-scale production facility in Lancashire. You'll be working wiht a group that takes safety seriously, with substantial investment in HSE and a strong track record of performance improvements across its UK operations.

As part of the Site Leadership Team, you’ll lead the HSE strategy on site, supported by a dedicated SHE Advisor. The company is looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership—someone who can engage teams, influence behaviours, and drive continuous improvement in safety, health, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a site-specific Health, Safety & Environment improvement plan to manage hazards, risks, and legal compliance

  • Drive continuous improvement in SHE performance across the site

  • Lead and manage internal and external HSE audits

  • Oversee emergency preparedness and ensure robust procedures for contractors and visitors

  • Provide expert HSE advice across all site operations

  • Implement Group SHE systems, initiatives, and campaigns locally

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely statutory reporting

  • Mentor and manage the SHE Advisor, and lead the SHE Committee to ensure effective governance

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience leading SHE strategy in a large manufacturing or industrial setting

  • Strong communication and engagement skills across all levels of the business

  • A proactive, visible leader who can influence culture and behaviours

  • Ideally holds a Level 6 Diploma (or equivalent) in Health & Safety—or actively working towards

  • Strong understanding of technical and legislative risk management
