Transparent is proud to partner with this impressive business in this piece of recruitment which is being recruited on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave.

Based on the outskirts of Colchester and offering hybrid working (2 days working from home) this role would suit someone who is:

  • Comfortable working with pay-related information
  • Ability to provide exemplary financial monitoring, encompassing attention to detail and an analytical approach
  • Ability to converse with people at all levels to include senior management, presenting information concisely
  • Comfortable working with large data sets

The main duties of the role include:

  • Provision of high quality, customer-focused advice to all pay analysis queries which will include business partner engagement with stakeholders, such as cost management and restructuring, option analysis and appraisal
  • Supporting the finance team to analyse pay and staffing FTE on a monthly basis
  • Reviewing trends, investigating and reporting on unusual activities within pay elements
  • Prompt identification of trends that arise whilst working collaboratively with key stakeholders to further understand variances and to address areas of concern
  • Provision of financial analysis in respect of pay budget setting to include financial modelling of various scenarios in respect of pay and allowances; this work will include numerical and graphical presentations of financial impact in relation to legislative changes to NI and pension contributions
  • Undertaking project work as set by the Finance Manager, as required
  • Provision of finance business support to department managers during the budget setting process
