Section Engineer / Sub Agent - Highways & Civil Infrastructure - ColchesterLooking for a challenge that combines your skills and experience in Highways and civil engineering?Randstad is searching for a skilled and motivated Section Engineer / Sub agent to join a team in the Colchester area. You'll play a key role in delivering crucial infrastructure projects, contributing to the development and enhancement of the local area.What you'll be doing:

• Leading the way: Oversee the construction of sections of complex projects involving highways, drainage, earthworks, and groundworks.
• Delivering Quality: Ensure work is executed to the highest standards, meeting project specifications, drawings, and safety regulations.
• Problem Solving: Identify potential issues, implement solutions, and ensure project milestones are met.
• Teamwork & Communication: Coordinate with subcontractors, manage site teams, and maintain clear communication with project stakeholders.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed site records and produce comprehensive progress reports.

What you'll bring:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Section Engineer in Highways and Civil Infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on drainage, earthworks, and/or groundworks.
• Knowledge: A solid understanding of relevant design and construction standards, including highways, drainage, earthworks, and groundworks best practices.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: A keen eye for detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
