Account Executive - Commercial Insurance

An independent, long-standing insurance brokerage is looking to appoint a Commercial Account Executive to manage a portfolio of existing business clients. The organisation has a strong heritage in providing tailored insurance solutions to sectors that support community welfare, including not-for-profit, care, and charitable services.

This is a client-facing role suited to an experienced insurance professional with a passion for service excellence and a strong grasp of commercial insurance renewal processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high client retention and ensuring ongoing compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a book of approximately 30-40 commercial insurance clients each month

  • Lead renewals, re-broking, and mid-term adjustments to ensure appropriate coverage

  • Address client servicing needs including claims queries and policy changes

  • Achieve key performance indicators (90%+ renewal retention, income retention)

  • Collaborate with internal departments including new business teams where appropriate

  • Adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards

  • Take part in structured training with support for professional development

What We’re Looking For:
  • 2-3 years of experience in commercial insurance, ideally in a broking or renewal-focused role

  • Working knowledge of FCA compliance and insurance market standards

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused mindset

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise multiple tasks

  • A goal-oriented attitude and commitment to professional growth
