Join a family-run business as an H&S Administrator, where you can add significant value to a small, growing team. This role is ideal for a proactive administrator with substantial experience in health and safety, looking to support and streamline processes within a friendly and dynamic environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage the health and safety for the business, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Complete Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) for offsite jobs.
  • Conduct risk assessments of the premises, including a large warehouse and yard.
  • Regularly review and amend company policies and procedures to align with health and safety laws.
  • Source and maintain necessary health and safety materials.
  • Ensure all Plant & Equipment and Company vehicles are serviced according to schedules and comply with Loler legislation.
  • Handle general administration tasks including sales invoicing and supporting management, warehouse, and offsite teams.
  • Respond proactively and efficiently to incoming emails and phone calls, directing enquiries as appropriate.
  • Greet and host occasional visitors, providing excellent hospitality.
  • Maintain the upkeep of the office environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Clean, current driving licence (essential due to the location of the office).
  • Minimum of 5 years' administration experience in a health and safety compliance/admin role.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications or relevant recent working health and safety experience.
  • Ability to work independently with high initiative and also collaboratively within a team.
  • Proactive approach, with the ability to react promptly to various situations.
