Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Music lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.
  • Inspire students to develop their musical skills in performance, composition, and listening.
  • Organize and lead a range of extracurricular musical activities, such as choirs, orchestras, bands, or musical theatre groups.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain high standards of achievement.
  • Contribute positively to the overall life of the school and the wider Music Department.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Music.
  • A strong passion for teaching Music and a commitment to fostering student potential.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to teach a broad musical curriculum.
  • A dynamic and adaptable teaching style that can motivate and engage students of all abilities.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
