Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Deliver high-quality lessons in Maths that support the development of students' knowledge and understanding.
- Curriculum Provision: Support subject leaders in ensuring high-quality lesson plans and schemes of work that engage and enrich students' learning.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Report on internal and external assessments to help determine students' progress and attainment.
- Pastoral Care: Work with the Head of Character Development and Wellbeing to support and deliver high-quality pastoral care to students.
- Whole School Support: Contribute to faculty and whole school development priorities, including supervision duties as per the school rota.
Key Duties:
- Develop and implement schemes of work and resources for Maths.
- Participate actively in the school's co-curricular and extra-curricular programmes.
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons.
- Support subject leaders in creating engaging lesson plans.
- Monitor and report on student progress and attainment.
Professional Development:
- Attend and engage with continuous professional development sessions.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to support the development of high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Stay updated with the latest educational practices and methodologies.
- Participate in self-evaluation and improvement initiatives.
- Commit to personal and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- A good university degree.
- Qualified teacher status (QTS).
- PGCE or equivalent.
- Experience as an exemplary classroom practitioner.
- Awareness of curriculum issues related to Maths.
