A welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Colchester is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a permanent, full-time role ideal for either experienced SEN teachers or qualified teachers with a passion for inclusive education who are looking to transition into a specialist setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, individualised lessons tailored to pupils with a range of special educational needs
• Foster a structured, nurturing classroom environment that promotes engagement and independence
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider support teams to meet pupils' educational and developmental needs
• Track and assess progress against EHCP targets and individual learning plans
• Build positive relationships with families and external agencies to support holistic outcomes
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives and uphold the school's inclusive ethos

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - strong SEN experience will also be considered for unqualified teachers
• Experience supporting pupils with complex needs in an SEN or inclusive setting
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of learning needs
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach
• Strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
