A welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Colchester is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a permanent, full-time role ideal for either experienced SEN teachers or qualified teachers with a passion for inclusive education who are looking to transition into a specialist setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality, individualised lessons tailored to pupils with a range of special educational needs
Foster a structured, nurturing classroom environment that promotes engagement and independence
Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider support teams to meet pupils' educational and developmental needs
Track and assess progress against EHCP targets and individual learning plans
Build positive relationships with families and external agencies to support holistic outcomes
Contribute to whole-school initiatives and uphold the school's inclusive ethos

Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - strong SEN experience will also be considered for unqualified teachers
Experience supporting pupils with complex needs in an SEN or inclusive setting
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of learning needs
Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach
Strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
