About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation based in Coleford.
In this role, you'll be responsible for producing detailed technical and design data that supports the development and manufacture of high-quality products. You'll ensure that all engineering outputs meet customer, industrial, environmental, and legal requirements, while providing expert technical support across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate technical and design documentation in line with customer and industry standards.
- Design mechanical components and assemblies that meet quality, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Support the Engineering Management Team in achieving departmental KPIs.
- Provide technical support to internal teams, resolving issues and offering guidance as required.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, environmental, and company policies.
- Maintain high standards of documentation, reporting, and communication across departments.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and other business functions to support project delivery.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 or HNC (or equivalent experience) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD design (AutoCAD experience required).
- Strong numerical, analytical, and IT skills.
- Experience with documentation and technical reporting systems.
- NVQ Level 4 / HND or equivalent in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience using SAP or similar systems.
