I'm working on a rare opportunity with a business in Corby who has a very low staff turnover and a strong PPM schedule in place to reduce reactive breakdowns and increase machinery performance and efficiency. Working alongside a team, this role will provide variety as well as structure.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on a weekly basis
- Provide mechanical and/or electrical fault finding and repair on production/processing machinery
- Support production by ensuring machinery runs safely and efficiently
- Undertake general site maintenance and first-line repairs
- Liaise with external contractors for specialist or major repair work when required
- Maintain and repair Lamination lines, wrappers, moulding machinery, peelers, granulators, shredders, splicers and baggers.
What We're Looking For
- A multiskilled engineer with both electrical and mechanical experience
- A recognized engineering qualification
- Experience in an industrial sector
- Availability to work night shifts

- How often is the night shift?
- This role includes a day shifts (6am-2pm) mon-fri and a nights shift (8pm-6am) Mon-thurs rotating weekly
- How is overtime paid?
- Overtime is paid at a rate of x1.5 if done during the week or on a Saturday and paid at double time if completed on a Sunday or Bank Holiday.
- How soon can I get started?
- This company is looking to interview in early January and will involve a maximum of 2 stages.
- Is this role suitable for my bias?
- This role is open to people with both an electrical or mechanical bias. However, it is important that you are multiskilled in fault finding and repairs.
