QUALITY ENGINEER

Northeast Wales

£35-45,000

DAYS (MONDAY - FRIDAY)

We are looking for a motivated Quality Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of manufacturing activity within the company. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description:

  • Day to day operational running of the Quality Department
  • Close cooperation and coordination to support Project Managers
  • Develop a good understanding of the quality requirements associated with the Client and the Project
  • Oversee the site's quality management system
  • Regular travel to existing and potential subcontractors to ensure QA documentation and SOPs are being adhered to
  • Lead and develop the internal audit programme
  • Training of new staff in quality control and systems
  • Assist in Research & Development trials/new product implementation
  • Undertake additional tasks or projects as required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified to Degree level, or with significant relevant experience
  • Have, or be able to obtain, a minimum of Baseline Security Clearance
  • Background in quality testing/checks and standards/regulations
  • Basic data analysis - can identify step-changes in trends. Requires technical awareness
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems - trained ISO-9001 auditor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - detailed knowledge and use of Excel formulae/tools
  • Must have good quality assurance experience.
