S&D Trade Recruitment is working with one of our long-term clients to recruit for Welders for a manufacturing facility in Corwen, North Wales, this site is commutable from Corwen, Wrexham, Tyn-y-cefn, Balas. Rate of Pay for this Welder positon: Earn up to £39,970 - £42,823 per annum, various shift patterns available on a permanent basis Nights or Days overtime may be available and paid at enhanced rates.
Welder Job Duties:
- Weld and assemble chassis, components, and sub-assemblies using MIG welding techniques.
- Produce trailer chassis parts using jigs, ensuring all welds meet quality standards.
- Fabricate components from engineering drawings to required tolerances.
- Confirm all holes, brackets, and drain features are accurately positioned for galvanising.
- Use workshop machinery and hand tools confidently and safely.
- Operate overhead cranes to handle materials and finished assemblies.
- Regularly inspect equipment and report any faults to minimise downtime.
- Liaise with materials handlers to maintain stock levels in welding bays.
- Work efficiently within a fast-paced, production-driven environment while maintaining accuracy.
Welder Requirements:
- Proven experience in MIG welding is essential.
- City & Guilds / NVQ in welding is advantageous or work based experience within a Welding position.
- Coded welder or working towards coding is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Strong communication skillset.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Reliable, detail-focused, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment.
