We are working on behalf of an outstanding employer who are recruiting an experienced Learning and Development Coordinator to report to their Learning, Inclusion and Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the professional and leadership development of colleagues.

As a Learning and Development Coordinator you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging induction and onboarding programmes, coaching officers to turn their manifestos into actionable, achievable project plans, coordinating leadership workshops, skills training and networking opportunities as well as using feedback and data to evaluate impact and continually improve officer development.

The business operates a 35 hour working week, with flexibility for hours to be worked between 8.30 until 5pm, but daily they must include working the core hours between 10 until 3pm. The hybrid working model will allow for you to work from home 1 to 2 days per week.

This is a fixed term contract until September 2027.

Role and responsibilities:

  • As a Learning and Development Coordinator you will be supporting the Learning, Inclusion and Development Manager in the design and delivery of an engaging, comprehensive induction programme
  • Develop training materials and introductory sessions
  • Support colleagues in developing clear project plans
  • Deliver regular 1:1 check-ins to support officer wellbeing, confidence, and skill progression
  • Use reflective tools and coaching approaches to support officer self-awareness, resilience, and growth
  • Coordinate and promote workshops and development sessions on topics such as influencing, communication, project management, and campaigning
  • Proactively signpost relevant opportunities for leadership development from internal and external providers
  • Collate feedback and use data to evaluate the success of development activities and make informed recommendations for improvement
  • Contribute to reporting and impact evaluation for Management

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, or developing individuals essential
  • Exceptional relationship building, communication, influencing and diplomacy skills
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to deliver difficult messages
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation.
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities, including experience managing projects or coordinating training/learning programmes.
  • Confident facilitating and coordinating training sessions, workshops or reflective conversations.
  • Ability to work proactively and take initiative.
