  • The position offers a competitive salary of $100,000 to $120,000, depending on experience.

We are seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to support a major automotive OEM on a high-impact programme focused on fit & finish, gap & flush, power door systems and perceived quality. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment and enjoys leading technical problem solving across multiple commodities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead crafted quality activities across vehicle systems, with ownership of commodity quality plans.
  • Drive APQP, PPAP, FMEA and Control Plan deliverables from concept through design maturation.
  • Manage 8D investigations, structured problem solving and issue resolution at component, system and vehicle level.
  • Support product creation, change control and engineering release activities (WERS / iCreate).
  • Ensure quality standards, documentation and reporting are accurate and delivered to programme timings.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, launch and programme teams to ensure quality targets are met.
  • Provide input into new feature development and ensure compliance with crafted quality and audit requirements.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong background in automotive quality engineering.
  • Proven expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan and 8D methodology.
  • Hands-on experience with Fit & Finish / Gap & Flush, DOORS PQ or perceived quality tools.
  • Understanding of power door systems, issue resolution and validation processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, influence stakeholders and collaborate across engineering teams.

Good-to-Have

  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum.
  • Knowledge of JIRA or visualisation tools.
  • Engineering background in mechanical, automotive or similar.
