Key Stage One Teaching Assistant
Location: Ash Green, Coventry (CV7)
Pay: 450-480 per week
Contract Type: Full-Time, Ongoing
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for early learning and supporting children with additional needs?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Key Stage One Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Ash Green, Coventry. This full-time role will involve a mix of classroom-based support and SEN provision across Key Stage 1, making it ideal for someone with a flexible and nurturing approach.

About the Role:

This position will see you working closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support to pupils across KS1. You will also offer targeted assistance to children with additional needs, including Autism and ADHD, ensuring they are fully supported within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general classroom support across Key Stage 1
  • Deliver targeted support to pupils with SEN such as Autism and ADHD
  • Work flexibly to respond to the needs of different classes and pupils
  • Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and developing independence
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to implement support plans
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above)
  • Experience working across EYFS and/or KS1
  • Understanding of SEN, particularly Autism and ADHD
  • Patient, adaptable and confident in a busy school environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
