Shift: Permanent / Monday - Friday
Salary: c.75,000 p/a

The Role:

The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering function, overseeing the design, development, and delivery of precision engineering solutions. This role requires a technically strong leader who can drive innovation, ensure manufacturing excellence, and support continuous improvement across all engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team, providing mentorship, technical direction, and performance management.
  • Oversee the design, development, and validation of precision-engineered components and systems.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, and commercial teams to ensure engineering projects meet customer requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and capability within the engineering department.
  • Manage engineering change processes and maintain accurate documentation and CAD models.
  • Support NPI and process development activities.
  • Provide technical leadership in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in precision engineering or high-tolerance manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record in engineering leadership or management roles.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining, tooling design, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM systems
  • Experience to drive productivity and CI
  • Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
