Join a Leading CNC Machinery Team as a Mechanical Service Engineer - UK

Our client, a respected distributor of world-class CNC machine tools, is seeking a Mechanical Service Engineer to join their growing and well-regarded team. You'll provide expert support across the UK working on high-end CNC machinery for a diverse customer base.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Mechanical servicing, maintenance, and breakdown support for CNC machine tools
  • Mechanical fault finding and diagnostics
  • Ball screw and linear guide replacement
  • Spindle exchanges and gib adjustment/scraping
  • CNC machine installations including geometrics and alignments

What You'll Need:

Essential:

  • Qualifications in mechanical engineering or maintenance disciplines
  • Strong hands-on experience working with CNC machine tools - especially lathes and machining centres
  • Confident in tasks such as servicing, mechanical repairs, fault diagnosis, and machine alignment

Desirable:

  • Experience with Fanuc and/or Okuma control systems
  • Background in scraping, alignment checks, and precision installations
