- Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices, purchase orders, and payments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end financial close processes
- Assist with VAT returns and other statutory reporting requirements
- Manage petty cash and staff expense claims
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice queries
- Assist with payroll preparation and data entry
- Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc financial tasks and reporting
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures
- Proven experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable
