SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: CV3, Whitley, Coventry
Pay: 395-430 weekly (take-home after tax and NI)
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP or after Easter

An inclusive and welcoming primary school in Whitley (CV3), Coventry, is looking for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term role supporting small groups of children from EYFS to Year 3, including both SEN and non-SEN learners who require additional support.

About the Role:

As a key member of the classroom team, you will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver personalised support. You'll play a vital role in helping children access the curriculum, develop their communication skills, and feel confident in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support small groups of children with and without SEN.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet a range of needs and abilities.
  • Build positive relationships with students to boost confidence and engagement.
  • Use visual aids, sensory resources, and communication tools where appropriate.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with Complex Needs, Autism, ADHD, and non-verbal or pre-verbal learners.
  • Confident supporting across EYFS to Year 3.
  • A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach to supporting children.
  • At least one-year minimum experience working in a school environment.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEND training) is desirable.
