SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: CV3, Whitley, Coventry
Pay: 395-430 weekly (take-home after tax and NI)
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP or after Easter

An inclusive and welcoming primary school in Whitley (CV3), Coventry, is looking for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term role supporting small groups of children from EYFS to Year 3, including both SEN and non-SEN learners who require additional support.

About the Role:

As a key member of the classroom team, you will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver personalised support. You'll play a vital role in helping children access the curriculum, develop their communication skills, and feel confident in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support small groups of children with and without SEN.
Adapt learning activities to meet a range of needs and abilities.
Build positive relationships with students to boost confidence and engagement.
Use visual aids, sensory resources, and communication tools where appropriate.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with Complex Needs, Autism, ADHD, and non-verbal or pre-verbal learners.
Confident supporting across EYFS to Year 3.
A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach to supporting children.
At least one-year minimum experience working in a school environment.

A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEND training) is desirable.
