We are seeking a kind, patient and passionate Life Skills Teacher to join a dedicated specialist setting supporting Year 9 students with ASC. This is a full-time role from Monday 5th January to Friday 27th March 2026.
As a Life Skills Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, highly personalised lessons, as well as marking books and folders. You will support pupils with communication, wellbeing, independence and confidence, working within a nurturing, structured and consistent environment.

The RequirementsTo be considered for the Life Skills Teacher position, you will:

Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, BEd). ECTs are encouraged to apply.

Have experience teaching students with ASC or additional needs (essential).

Be kind, calm, patient and nurturing in your approach.

Be confident with lesson planning, delivery and marking.

Be adaptable and able to tailor learning to meet individual needs.

Be committed to the academic, emotional and social development of pupils.
