Senior Tax Adviser

We are seeking a Tax Adviser to oversee and ensure the effective completion of tax projects including corporate reorganisations, employee share incentives, and incorporations. This role involves implementing strategies to reduce tax liabilities, identifying tax mitigation opportunities, and maintaining strong client relationships through strategic advice and clear communication.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the preparation and completion of detailed project plans, ensuring all tax implications are clearly documented and compliant with current legislation.
  • Assist with instructing solicitors, completing HMRC filings, and maintaining clear communication with project stakeholders.
  • Review tax analysis and projects completed by team members to ensure integrity and compliance with HMRC and other government bodies.
  • Provide comprehensive tax advice to clients, ensuring timely delivery of services within budget.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, enhancing their technical knowledge and handling internal and external queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Expertise in direct taxes in a transactional context, including Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Stamp Taxes, Inheritance Tax, and Employment Taxes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with clients and team members at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail with a process-driven approach.
  • Ability to research and provide advice on complex tax matters using firm resources.
  • CTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Proactive in learning and expanding knowledge in tax advisory.
