Role: CMM Operator

Location: Ansty Park, Coventry

Rate: 19.59/hr - rising to 20.28/hr once fully trained

PAYE - accrue 25 days holiday per annum + bank holidays

Duration: 6 months rolling contract

Out client is seeking a detail-oriented CMM Operator to join our quality and inspection team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure that manufactured components meet strict engineering and quality standards for the aerospace and advanced engineering sectors.



Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and calibrate CMM equipment to inspect mechanical parts and assemblies

  • Perform precise measurements, interpret blueprints and technical drawings

  • Record, analyse, and report dimensional inspection data

  • Communicate non-conformances to Quality and Engineering teams

  • Maintain CMM equipment and support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet deadlines



Requirements

  • Previous experience operating CMM or using precision measurement tools (preferred)

  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret geometric tolerances (GD&T)

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy

  • Basic IT and data entry skills

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
