Dunbar Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in the Cradley Heath area. This is a long-term position with an immediate start, offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEND needs

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions

  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment

  • Monitor and report on pupil progress and development

  • Assist with personal care if required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant, ideally within a Primary setting

  • Strong understanding of a variety of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach

  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support (desirable)
