Commutable from: Old Hill, Halesowen, Dudley, Birmingham, West Bromwich, Stourbridge, Rowley Regis, Quinton, Blackheath, Brierley Hill

We're looking for a compassionate, empathetic and proactive individual to mentor and support Key Stage 2 pupils with a range of needs at a vibrant and inclusive school in Cradley Heath.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Support children who may struggle with behaviour, focus or social skills.
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups to build emotional regulation, confidence and teamwork.
  • Model and promote positive behaviour in class and during playtimes.
  • Help pupils understand school expectations and manage emotions such as anger or anxiety.
  • Support teachers by calmly managing challenging situations.
  • Deliver short sessions on friendship, empathy and conflict resolution.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, the SENCO and parents to monitor progress.
  • Promote inclusion so every child can learn safely, happily and effectively.

About you:

  • Experience working with children (in schools, youth work, or clubs).
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, ADHD or emotional needs is desirable but not essential.
  • Patient, empathetic, and calm individual with strong communication and listening skills.
  • Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is advantageous but not required.
