Description
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Support the reconciliation of bank accounts and other key financial records.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Maintain and update ledgers, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
- Provide support during external and internal audits.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function.
Profile
The successful Assistant Accountant should have:
- AAT qualification or actively studying for CIMA or ACCA qualification.
- Experience working in the industrial or manufacturing sector is advantageous.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- An eye for detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with stakeholders.
