CK Group are recruiting for a Polymer Technologist, on behalf of a leading multinational producer of household plastic products, at their site in Cramlington, on a permanent basis, offering a salary up to 35,000 per annum. The Role:

To contribute to the development of new products and provide technical support to customers.

The candidate needs to have an understanding of polymers, resins and surface coating/decorating technologies (printing, priming, embossing etc.)


Responsibilities:
  • Developing existing products and processes.
  • Providing technical support and assistance for suppliers, internal and external customers.
  • Management of product evaluation and testing as agreed with departmental manager.
  • Manage and control formulation changes in response to product and process requirements.
  • Ensuring product compliance with current regulations and quality requirements, through establishment of control specifications and testing procedures.
  • Provide technical support and expertise for customers.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Degree (BSc, MSc, PhD etc.) in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Material Science is essential.
  • Previous industrial or post-graduation experience within polymer industry.
