The Role

As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of compliance and advisory services to a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare year-end accounts (FRS 102 1A and FRS 105), management accounts, and VAT returns

  • Assist with corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns

  • Complete bookkeeping, CIS returns, payroll, and pension submissions as needed

  • Maintain working papers and ensure reconciliations are accurate

  • Support clients with cloud software and digital record-keeping

  • Deliver advisory services such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

  • Keep up to date with UK accounting and tax regulations

RequirementsAbout You
  • ACA / ACCA / AAT part-qualified or newly qualified

  • 2–3 years of experience within UK accountancy practice

  • Confident preparing accounts for SMEs, freelancers, and limited companies

  • Familiar with cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Dext)

  • Excellent communication and time management skills

  • Proactive, tech-savvy, and able to work independently

  • Keen to grow with the firm and embrace modern accounting practices
