The Client:

Premises Officer needed on temp to perm basis by our client, who has been providing Facilities Management (FM) services to clients across the UK for almost 20 years.

The Role:

The premises officer will help to ensure that the entire school environment and support services are kept in good condition to accommodate the full range of school activities. The selected candidates will join a small team of staff and take part in their duties, which will include a variety of tasks to ensure that the school runs smoothly.

The premises officer will develop the necessary skills to carry out statutory inspections. They will be required to work with contractors as needed and to assist with maintenance tasks as needed at the school. Additionally, they will aid in ensuring the school and its assets are adequately and effectively secured during lock-up and unlock.

Responsibilities:�

Health and Safety:

-�Make sure that everyone on staff complies with all applicable Health and Safety laws and guidelines.

Caretaking:�

- Ensure that buildings, exterior pathways, roadways, playgrounds, gullies, parking lots, playing fields, and gardens are kept at satisfactory standards of cleanliness and hygienic, and make sure that any graffiti is quickly removed.

Security:�

- Ensure all contractors working for the school are officially signed in, wearing ID badges prominently, and returning their badges when through with their assignment.

-�Constantly ensure adequate building and property security, and adhere to any unique security needs that may be established from time to time by the facilities manager and headteachers.

Building Maintenance and Management:�

- Must take part in maintenance tasks to guarantee the proper general care and maintenance of the premises.

Gardens and Ground Maintenance:�

- To provide support as needed in maintaining school gardens and flower beds that are not covered by a grounds maintenance contract

The details;

  • Hours of Work : Mon to Fri 8H00-16H00; 37.5 / week
  • Temp to Perm - starting in Septemeber
  • Annual Leave may be taken prior consent and agreement of the site co-ordinator has been-given
