Are you a highly organised and hands-on Site Manager looking for a rewarding challenge with a growing local developer?
Opportunity to play a large role within a small but ambitious property developer specialising in high-quality residential schemes of up to 20 units across the beautiful counties of Surrey and Sussex. Priding themselves on delivering exceptional homes, they're now seeking a proactive and dedicated Site Manager to join the team and help them continue to build on their success.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
What you'll be doing:
- Overseeing all on-site activities, from initial setup through to final handover.
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to schedules.
- Maintaining meticulous site records, including progress reports, health and safety documentation, and material deliveries.
- Proactively managing logistics, including material procurement, storage, and efficient site layout.
- Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
- Liaising effectively with the development team, architects, building control, and other stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting issues and finding practical solutions on site.
- And yes, being prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in when needed!
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally within residential development.
- Strong organisational and logistical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- A thorough understanding of building regulations and health and safety legislation.
- Relevant qualifications, such as SMSTS, CSCS card (Manager level), and First Aid at Work.
- A valid forklift truck licence/certification would be a significant advantage.
- A proactive and problem-solving attitude with a strong work ethic.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively.
- A driving licence and willingness to travel across sites in Surrey and Sussex.
What we offer:
- A competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience.
- The opportunity to work on diverse and interesting residential projects in desirable locations.
- The chance to be a key player in a growing and supportive team.
- Autonomy and responsibility, with the opportunity to make a real impact.
- A commitment to your professional development.
If you're a highly motivated and hands-on Site Manager with a knack for logistics and a passion for building quality homes, we'd love to hear from you!
