?? The Role
Mid/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer | £60,000 | Crawley HQ (40% office, flexible working)
You'll be designing renewable heating systems for commercial and industrial buildings, working with cutting-edge solar thermal technology alongside heat pumps, thermal storage, and other low-carbon solutions.
What you'll do:
- Design safe, reliable renewable heating systems for C&I clients
- Create P&ID designs, roof layouts, and component specifications
- Perform demand/generation calculations and structural analysis
- Work with cross-disciplinary teams including architects and construction partners
- Support client presentations and technical proposals
- Contribute to product development and system improvements
?? What We're Looking For
Essential:
- 5-8 years M&E design engineering experience
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- RIBA stage 3/4 design experience
- AutoCAD proficiency
- HVAC/building services background
- Knowledge of commercial/industrial heating and electrical standards
- Client and stakeholder management experience
Desirable:
- Solar/renewable energy experience
- Heat pump and thermal storage knowledge
- Energy modeling software skills
