Are you an innovative CAD Engineer with a passion for aerodynamics? Adecco are working in Partnership with Bentley motors to find a talented individual to join their dynamic Whole Vehicle Physics Team in Crewe. If you're ready to make a significant impact on vehicle design and performance, this role is for you!

What You'll Do:

As a CAD Engineer, you will be at the forefront of defining and validating key aerodynamic attributes.

Here are some of your key responsibilities:

  • Design Excellence: Create aerodynamic wind tunnel scale models and full-scale test vehicle hardware, managing everything from design studio surface release to final manufacturing.
  • Surface Mastery: Stitch and join surfaces, develop solid parts, and ensure robust, repeatable models that meet all structural and strength requirements.
  • Test Preparation: Generate aerodynamic test surfaces for CFD and wind tunnel testing, applying your specific aerodynamic design knowledge to optimise vehicle performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead the charge in CAD design process improvement, ensuring quick turnaround times and high-quality standards. Investigate lost time issues and implement design/process enhancements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Aerodynamics Engineers to introduce and implement cutting-edge wind tunnel technology, attending tests across the EU as needed (up to 4 times a year).
  • Documentation: Create and manage wind tunnel test guides and fixing guides, helping to streamline operations.

Tools of the Trade:

  • Essential: Catia V5 (advanced surfacing, parametric models, solid modelling), Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Desirable: Blender, Alias, Beta Ansa.
