What You'll Do:

As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be at the forefront of quality planning and supplier management. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Quality Planning: Lead quality planning activities for priority 1 bought-in parts and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical support on complex supplier quality issues, ensuring timely resolutions to maintain product quality.
  • Supplier Improvement: Drive quality enhancements at external suppliers and monitor performance to meet VW Group quality standards.
  • Problem Solving: utilise advanced problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and implement effective containment actions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.

Who You Are:

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in automotive supplier quality management, with a focus on quality planning tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control, analytical techniques, and quality improvement methodologies (6-sigma, DoE, Global 8D, Kepner-Tregoe, DMAIC).
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present confidently at all levels, including board level.
  • A valid driving licence as travel to suppliers is required.
  • German language skills are a plus!
