Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people in their learning? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor to work in a vibrant secondary school in Crewe, with an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in education, including recent graduates, teaching assistants looking to step up, or experienced cover supervisors. You will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that pupils remain on task and engaged.

The School:

The Role:
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring students stay on task.

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.

  • Supporting students with their learning and responding to questions where appropriate.

  • Liaising with teaching staff and senior leaders to provide feedback on lesson delivery and classroom behaviour.

  • Covering a range of subjects across Key Stages 3 and 4.

What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience working with young people in a school or similar setting is desirable.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • A calm, confident, and professional manner.

  • Ability to manage behaviour effectively and follow school procedures.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment.
