Service Charge AnalystLocation: Croydon (Hybrid Working Available)Rate: £22.42 - £26.76 per hour (LTD)We are currently working on behalf of a well-established housing provider who is looking for an experienced Service Charge Analyst to join their team in Croydon. Reporting directly to the Service Charge Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to support the transformation of service charge delivery while ensuring a high-quality service to residents and stakeholders.The Role:You will be responsible for accurately calculating, constructing, and issuing both estimated and actualised service charges, with a particular focus on complex cases. Your work will ensure full recoverability of costs in line with legal, contractual, and policy requirements. You’ll act as a key point of contact for service charge payers, resolving complex queries and supporting internal teams in complaint resolution.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on the calculation and issuance of service charges, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide expert, customer-focused responses to complex service charge queries.
  • Support the development and standardisation of service charge systems and processes.
  • Partner with internal teams and budget holders to ensure accurate allocation of costs.
  • Contribute to the integration of legacy systems and development of best practices.
  • Attend resident meetings, development stage reviews, and First Tier Tribunal hearings where required.
  • Continuously identify improvements in service charge calculation and communication to residents.
About You:
  • Proven experience in residential and commercial service charge management.
  • Strong understanding of current legislation and sector best practice.
  • Excellent financial, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Comfortable engaging with residents, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative and customer-first approach to service delivery.
