Our client, a renowned leader in the HTP sector, is currently seeking a Section Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves overseeing a specific section of a highway construction project, ensuring it is executed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Organization: Developing and implementing project plans, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets
- Supervision and Management: Leading and supervising a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support
- Quality Control: Ensuring that work meets specified quality standards and industry best practices
- Conducting site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborating with other project stakeholders, including contractors and clients, to achieve project goals
- Preparing and maintaining accurate project documentation and reports
- Addressing any technical issues that arise on-site and providing effective solutions
- Supporting the project manager in the overall project execution and delivery
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highway construction projects
- Proficiency in project management and planning tools
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent understanding of quality control processes and best practices
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
