Are you a compassionate and proactive individual with a passion for supporting positive behaviour in young learners? A vibrant primary school in Croydon is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to provide crucial support to children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
This is an excellent full-time, long-term opportunity with the potential for a permanent contract for the right person. We are particularly interested in candidates with a sport or psychology background, as these skills are highly beneficial in understanding and guiding pupil behaviour.

What you'll be doing:
- Providing tailored behavioural support to individual pupils during lessons and activities
- Implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and build pupil self-confidence and regulation skills
- Collaborating effectively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to develop and apply behaviour plans
- Monitoring pupil progress and adapting strategies to meet evolving needs and challenges
- Facilitating small group interventions focused on social skills and emotional literacy
We're looking for someone who:
- Has prior experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a behaviour support or TA role within a school setting (KS1 or KS2)
- Is calm, empathetic, and exceptionally dependable
- Can confidently navigate and manage challenging behaviours with a therapeutic approach
- Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to apply for one)
- A sport or psychology background is a significant advantage, offering valuable insights into motivation and emotional well-being.
