We are seeking a dedicated Sales Administrator to join a great client of ours who we have worked and met with on numerous occasions. This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical engineering background and experience in customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer interactions, preparing quotations, processing orders, and supporting the sales and service teams.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Communicate daily with internal and external customers, including Sales Managers, Service Engineers, and end customers via phone and email.
  • Analyse incoming requests, identify anomalies, and provide timely responses with relevant information.
  • Address customer inquiries, ensuring clarity and understanding of specific requirements and product features.
  • Prepare and check initial quotations in line with discount policies and Sales Manager guidance.
  • Submit quotations to customers and facilitate Sales Manager follow-ups.
  • Process customer purchase orders in the local ERP system.
  • Communicate order changes to dispatch/warehouse teams.
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and other customer-requested materials.
  • Handle Sales Returns & Credits as appropriate.
  • Provide updates on existing orders and support customers with their requests.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project-relevant information is shared.
  • Streamline and improve operating practices for the benefit of all stakeholders.
  • Review team-created quotations for accuracy before release.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word & Excel.
  • Experience working within an ERP system.
  • Ability to identify component parts from drawings.
  • Background in a Mechanical engineering environment is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of export regulations post-Brexit.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
