Fire Alarm Engineer

Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 DOE, with potential earnings up to 55,000 + company van

Location: Kent / South London

About the Role
Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated professional with over 3 years of experience, ideally Gent trained, to handle servicing, fault-finding, and small works in Kent and South/South West London. While the primary focus is on fire detection servicing and reactive work, additional experience in security, access control, and CCTV systems is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and fault-finding on conventional, addressable, and wireless fire alarm systems
  • Work with major brands of panels such as Gent or Vesda and other app-based systems
  • Handle security alarms, access control/door entry systems, and IP & analogue CCTV systems
  • Dual Com monitoring and other communication devices
  • Maintenance of emergency lighting
  • Adherence to NSI codes of practice and current industry standards (EN50131 PD6662, DD243, BS4737, BS8243)


About You:

  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service and Faults Engineer
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and good at time management
  • Strong work record
  • Full UK driving license

Working Hours:

  • Standard hours: 8.30am-5.00pm, Monday - Friday
  • On-call rotation: 1 in 6 weeks (additional paid overtime for on-call hours)
  • The role involves working with ladders at height and can be physically demanding
  • Flexibility to travel to various sites across the area
