Special Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant - South London - Education and Training Sector

A Special school in South London is looking for a Sen Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16 years old in the classroom. The pupils have Learning Difficulties, including Autism and complex needs. It is a very nice environment to work in and the pupils really love their school.

The school is very welcoming with friendly staff able to help and supprt new staff who want to gain experience or start a new career within the Education and training sector. They are keen to take on someone with the right personality and passion for the job, experience is not essential.

They need someone committed to the role full-time, Monday to Friday and for the right person this role would continue for the whole academic year until July 2026, possibly longer.

It is vital the successful applicant is dedicated to the role of being a special needs teaching assistant and understands the impact of developing positive relationships with the pupils. It can be a very rewarding job working seeing the pupils make progress and lots can be learnt from working with professionals such as SEN teachers and therapists.

The school is located in a pretty part of South London, which has good transport links. There is a large car park if you wish to drive and being outside of central London in South London means traffic is pretty good.
