We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join a special educational needs (SEN) school in Croydon for a ASD school. This is a full-time, long-term role with pay in line with the teacher pay scale. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.


Position Details:


Location: Croydon


Contract: Full-time (Monday - Friday)


Duration: Long-term


Start Date: September start


Salary: Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS)


School Type: SEN school, supporting students with a range of learning difficulties


Key Responsibilities:


Planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of SEN students


Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment


Implementing effective behaviour management strategies


Working collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external professionals


Monitoring and assessing student progress, adapting teaching methods accordingly


Supporting students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills


Requirements:


Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK


Experience working in an SEN setting or supporting students with additional needs


Strong classroom management and differentiation skills


A patient, adaptable, and resilient approach to teaching


An Enhanced DBS Certificate (registered on the update service or willing to obtain one)
