The school and roleA respected cluster of Welsh medium primary schools in Cwmbran is seeking a dedicated Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role offers the chance to support pupils across the primary age range while contributing to warm, inclusive and forward-thinking school communities.

What you'll do-
Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils engage confidently in the classroom.

Assist class teachers with daily tasks and lesson preparation.

Supervise pupils during lunchtime and transitions.

Carry out general administrative duties as required.

Support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning.

Work closely with staff across the cluster to maintain a positive, supportive environment.

Fluent Welsh speaker, essential for working within Welsh medium primary settings.

Enthusiastic and committed to supporting primary-aged pupils.

Experience working with children or young people.

Confident managing behaviour in a calm and consistent way.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

A good general level of education, including GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.

Confident using IT to support learning and administrative tasks.

Competitive weekly pay: £450 to £509.60.
