MIG/ OR TIG Welders

We are currently recruiting MIG AND OR TIG Welders for a leading manufacturing site based in Darlington. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team, working on high-quality components for the automotive industry.

Location: Darlington
Working Hours: Split Shifts (Monday to Friday)

• Shift 1: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:00pm

• Shift 2: Monday-Thursday, 2:00pm-11:30pm (Friday OFF!)

• Pay £15.10 an hour

• Optional Overtime: Available on Saturdays and Sundays when required (paid at an overtime rate)

• Note: No night shift support required currently - but may be discussed in the future if needed.

What You'll Be Doing:
You'll follow detailed work instructions, manufacturing drawings, and health & safety procedures to deliver precision work in a fast-paced production environment.

Required Skills & Experience:
MIG or TIG welding experience (MIG preferred)
Able to weld 2-3mm steel to automotive quality standards
Background in general manufacturing (automotive experience is a bonus!)
Comfortable working to high-volume production targets
Experience using welding techniques in a sheet metal manufacturing setting

Qualifications (any of the below are welcome):

• ABC Certificate Levels 1-3 in Fabrication & Welding

• City & Guilds Award in Welding Skills

• BTEC National Certificate/Diploma in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering

• NVQ Level 1-3 in Fabrication & Welding or related fields

• Time-served apprenticeship

• OR equivalent proven welding experience in a manufacturing environment

Interview Process:
Interviews will be held onsite in Darlington and will include a 2-hour welding test to assess practical skills.
